The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) is a Commonwealth grant program for economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects that can’t obtain primary funding under other state programs. BerksIDA is currently managing RACP grants totaling $9.2 million for projects exceeding a $20 million impact on Berks County.
Projects include:
$1.5 million RACP for Berks County Trust’s rehabilitation of the vacant bank building at 35 N. 6 th Street, Reading for exterior terra cotta repair.
$2.25 million RACP for the medical arts building in Reading for exterior façade
replacement
- $1.45 million RACP for rehabilitation of theTrexler/Baer Mansion in Reading
- $1 million RACP for St. Luke’s medical office building in Leesport
- $3 million RACP for Rodale Institute to create a new science research building
